Who we are
“We are a divinely mandated visionary organization brought forth to mobilize and refocus the entire Calabar church and peoples on God’s kingdom purpose of pursuing the vision of missions on a global plane.”
Our history
“The historical foundation of the HOGMF dates back to a Spiritual encounter with the Great biblical Apostle Paul in a vision shown to the vision pioneer of this commission Apostle Paul Simon Bassey in Dec. 1995 after his return from a pilgrimage to Israel.”
Mission & vision
“To identify, train, and empower indigenes of the Old Calabar Province as Missionaries to Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Germany, Venezuela, Belgium, and other mission fields the Lord will send us.”
Our mandate
Our story begins with a conviction: a region deeply shaped by missionary witness also carries a responsibility to send. Hope of Glory calls the Church in Old Calabar to rediscover that responsibility and respond together.
We describe that responsibility as DECAMP — the Debt Calabar Must Pay — not as a debt of guilt, but as a grateful answer to the grace first received through the Gospel.

These values shape how we answer the call, care for people, and steward the work of mission.
We respond to God’s call with willing, practical, and wholehearted obedience.
We pursue mission as an expression of God’s love for people, communities, and nations.

Vision Coordinator
A medical practitioner before entering full-time ministry, Apostle Paul Simon Bassey pioneered the vision that became Hope of Glory Missionary Foundation. He leads the call to awaken, prepare, and mobilize the Church in Old Calabar for global mission.
A call to remember
“Hear, O Calabar Church: out of missions were you brought forth, and now unto missions you must return.”
