2nd Bible Reading – Revelation 7:4-17
MINISTERING: Rev. Israel Eyo
THEME: Come, let us worship the Lord, our Maker
TEXT: Psalm 95:1-11.
Points:
- God is looking for men who will worship Him for who He is.
- Your worship of God should not only come from what God has done for you.
- You must not fulfill the devil’s agenda, the devil’s agenda is that God will not find men who will give Him worship.
- Just like Abraham, you must trust God even when He has not offered you anything yet
- You must still see God as God even in your trials & challenges.
- God created in every man the capacity of choice.
- Worship is not a moment activity; WORSHIP- Is a life-long activity in your response to God Almighty.
- You must know who you are dealing with and respond accordingly.
- You cannot worship acceptably when you have not recognized who God is; you must recognize God as your maker and the giver of life
- What to recognize (W.W.W.):
– God’s worth – You must recognize the WORTH of God (When you recognize the worth of God it will bring you to the place of worship).
– Word – You cannot worship when THE WORD Is absent in you; it is the word of God that will provoke a worship response
– Works – Worship will be sustained when you have recognized the WORKS of God. - It is in the place of worship that you realize who God is.
- Worship is not only personal it can also be corporate.
- The invitation to worship is in line with God’s plan to find men who will worship Him.
- You must be conscious that whatever you do is part of your worship.
- Worship brings Healing, Restoration, Favour, understanding, and Deliverance.
- Worship can be expressed by giving help to the needy.
- Humility is an attribute of worship.
- Worship requires Holiness; you cannot worship in sin.
- If you fail in worship you have failed in all.
- If you don’t worship you have not recognized God (you cannot worship when you have not recognized Him).
- If you don’t worship God you are resisting God and rebelling.
- God resists the proud!
- The invitation to worship is to live in conscious recognition of the divine presence of God.
